At Havenstreet Station our friends from Haven Falconry offer you the opportunity to enjoy the thrills and excitement of falconry and birds of prey.
Visitors to the Railway have an opportunity to enjoy two daily flying displays and visit the recently opened Bird of Prey Centre (see below).
Haven Falconry is run by Paul Martin, a skilled handler who has lifelong experience in falconry which started in the late 1960s when he was just 11 years old! He takes great pride in his personal collection of birds, all of which have been bred in captivity, with their care and welfare being his utmost priority.
On Railway operating days there are daily flying displays at 11.40am and 1.40pm (weather/events permitting) in the Showground. Visitors to the Railway can enjoy these displays at no additional cost.
NOTE: The Bird of Prey Centre is independent of the Steam Railway and separate charges apply - see below.
Housing the largest collection of Birds of Prey on the Isle of Wight, Haven Falconry presents a visitor centre that despite being modest in size boasts over 70 birds of 25 species, actively supporting Barn Owl and Vulture Conservation. For further details please click on the link HERE
