The Train Story Discovery Centre is well signposted - just follow the route through the back of the Shop, through the Carriage and Wagon workshops and follow the path alongside the woodland area which affords great views of the loco and shunting yard.

Opening Hours

OPERATING DAYS
Train Story is open daily from the start of April to the end of September.  It is also open on operating days in March, October and December. Opening hours are as follows:
Opens 11am.  Last Admissions 4.30pm.  Closes 5.00pm.


NON-OPERATING DAYS
On days when the railway is not operating trains the Train Story Discovery Centre is closed to visitors.


Each day Train Story is open the Railway Shop is also open.  Our Refreshment Room is generally not open on days trains are not running.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Please note that, despite published opening times for Operating and Non-Operating days, there may be a requirement to close the facility for the purposes of shunting.  Please enquire about opening times when you arrive.
