Join us for a pawsome day out with your doggy pals\, friends for an unforgettable adventure. \n \n\n\nWe have teamed up with The RSPCA and hosting the Great Isle of Wight dog walk. \nThe morning walk will involve a ride on a vintage steam train to the start of a dog-friendly 3 mile walking route. Your vintage carriage\, dating from the Victorian or Edwardian era\, awaits\, hauled by a magnificent steam locomotive. \nTrain Ride & Dog Walks\nGuided Walks: Wootton to Havenstreet – 3 miles (5km) \nTrains depart 10:15 and 14:52 \nMeet at Havenstreet station in good time to collect your tickets and board your steam train for the journey to Wootton station. Our route takes us through Briddlesford Woods\, largely owned by the People’s Trust for Endangered Species and home to dormice and red squirrels. We’ll cross over the railway line at Woodhouse Crossing\, then make our walk back to Havenstreet station via Great Briddlesford Farm. \nTreat your pet to a commemorative tag and enjoy some dog-related fun and games\, including a Family Dog Show organised by the Friends of the Animals. Enter one of the classes on the day for just £3 per dog per class. \nFun Dog Show\n12:30pm – 1:30pm \nOur Dog Show\, commences at 12:30 – lots of fun classes to choose from with entries on the day at £3 per dog per class. \nPrettiest dog\nMost handsome dog\nWaggiest tail\nBest six legs\nBest veteran\nBest in show \nBecause of the nature of the event dogs will need to be well-behaved and be kept on a lead at all times. \n\n\n\n\nRSPCA Isle of Wight \nAll funds raised from this event will support the Isle of Wight Branch of the RSPCA which cares for the Island’s most vulnerable animals. \nWe are an independent charity\, supporting the work of the RSPCA locally. Our animal Centre at Rookley\, cares for and rehomes dogs\, cats\, small animals and wildlife. Over 95% of our funding is raised on the Isle of Wight through donations\, legacies\, events and our charity shops. \n\n\n\n\nYour ticket includes free admission to the attractions at Havenstreet Station.
