Getting to the railway by Car

Enter PO33 4DS into your Satnav or head for Havenstreet (3 miles from Ryde and 3 miles from Newport) and look for road signs to Havenstreet or brown signs showing Steam Railway. Havenstreet station has a large FREE car park with spaces for cars, motorcycles, motorhomes and coaches.

Getting to the railway by bus

Havenstreet station is not served by a public bus service. Wootton station is served by the No 9 bus between Newport and Ryde (via Staplers). Alight at Wootton station for trains to Havenstreet.

Getting to the railway by train

Board Island Line services from Ryde, Brading, Sandown, Lake or Shanklin, taking you directly to Smallbrook Junction.

Passenger services

From Portsmouth… Take the Wightlink FastCat Service from Portsmouth Harbour to Ryde Pier Head, or Hovercraft from Southsea to Ryde Esplanade, then take the Island Line train to Smallbrook Junction and change for the Steam Railway.

From Southampton… Take the Red Funnel Red Jet to Cowes and then the No 1 bus to Newport, changing at Newport Bus Station for the No 9 (Via Staplers) bus to Wootton station.
