Lineside Fire Risk and Advertised Timetable

Due to the extended period of hot, dry weather there is a greater risk of lineside fires.

A number of measures have been put in place by the Isle of Wight Steam Railway to reduce this risk, one being to work our locomotives less hard – a source of sparks!

This does mean that on occasions we may not be able to keep to our advertised timetable and we ask our passengers to bear with us.
