Smallbrook

Smallbrook Junction is where steam engines meet electric trains. Passengers visiting the Railway by ‘Island Line’ electric train arrive at Smallbrook Junction to swap trains by transferring between platforms on foot. Island Line trains run from Ryde Pier Head to the seaside town of Shanklin with various other stops along the route.

A more modern looking station compared to the other stops along the line, Smallbrook has been designed to replicate a traditional Southern Railway station. Facilities are sparse here but there is a ticket office, waiting room and eco toilet. So if on your Island Line journey you want to hop off at the Steam Railway, on operating days you can buy a ticket from the ticket office.

PLEASE NOTE: Smallbrook Junction is only accessible via this option as there is no footpath or vehicular access.
