Beside The Seaside

Railways played an important part in taking people on their summer holidays to the seaside by train. This year we are bringing the seaside to Havenstreet for our brand new Beside the Seaside Event.

Feel the nostalgia and enjoy traditional activities including Punch and Judy, swing boats and volleyball. Don’t miss the By the Sea treasure hunt – can you find all the shells we have hidden around the railway? Don’t forget to claim your stick of rock prize when you do.

Relax in a deck chair enjoying an ice cream while the children play in the sand and let off steam.

Grab lunch in our restaurant or a lighter snack in the Barn Café before grabbing your suitcase and jumping on the train for a scenic ride through the island countryside.

Don’t miss Train Story Discovery Centre where you can learn about the history of the railway and how it played an integral part of developing holidays to the Great British Seaside.
