First Island train for Ivatt 41313

Wednesday 4th April saw Ivatt Class 2 locomotive 41313 haul its first public service train on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway.

41313 is one of three Ivatt locomotives generously donated to the Isle of Wight Steam Railway by the Ivatt Locomotive trust in 2006. Tank engines 41298 and 41313 are both now in service at Havenstreet, tender locomotive 46447 is on loan to the East Somerset Railway.

There will be a unique opportunity to see our three Ivatt locomotives in steam together at Havenstreet during the ‘Three Island Ivatts’ gala, 26th to 28th May.
